About

Louis Sweet. I live in DeBary.

Laptop Lou is me. I come to your house or office, look at the machine, and tell you what’s actually wrong — including when it’s not worth fixing.

I used to run Sweets PC Consulting on this same corridor: on-site residential and small-business work, DeBary through Sanford. The name changed. The visit didn’t.

Background is senior Linux / systems / SRE work. That’s useful when the problem isn’t “run a scan.” It’s not a remote mill and it’s not a script.

On-site laptop repair at a Florida kitchen table
One person

If you book Laptop Lou, I show up. No junior from another zip code.

At your place

Kitchen table, spare room, front desk. No public counter. No fake shop on Google.

Straight answer

Repair, order a part, or stop. I’d rather lose the ticket than take a bad bet.

How I work

House calls. Real diagnosis. No scareware.

Homes and small offices

Same break/fix either way. I don’t pretend to be a 24/7 IT department. If you need a retainer MSP, I’ll say so.

Parts when you approve them

I don’t keep a junk drawer of leftover screens. Quote the part, you say yes, I order it for that machine.

What I won’t do

Remote-in as the first move. Scare-virus upsells. Overnight laptop storage unless we agree. Phone-screen mill work.

If a mill already called

The $79 “we’ll remote in” pitch isn’t this. If that’s what you wanted, you already have their number.

Text if you want the visit

City, the machine, what’s wrong. I reply 8am–8pm. Overnight messages get a morning reply.
